Best Toys For Playing And Learning

When purchasing toys for my kids, I always ask myself what’s the purpose of every toy I check out as I’m looking for the best toys for leaning on top of playing.

Sure, it’s okay to get some toys just because they are fun. Yet, somehow I don’t want to rely on flashy, appealing toys only. I tend to introduce my kids with toys which also have an educational dimension and do them good not only providing them with short-term fun but also with long-term benefits. Here are some of my favorite toys I have found so far.

Baby’s First Blocks

Simple and amusing, Baby’s First Blocks helped me teach my children more about shapes and colors. This toy is also great for developing motor, logical and problem-solving skills.

Classic Legos

Lego kits usually come with limited building options nowadays, but you can still find the classic kit as well. The classic Legos give you endless options and boost your children’s imagination. You can find differently-sized box sets as well.

My First Mind Blowing Science

Many children grow up to find science too difficult, and sometimes it is just because they were not introduced to in a more amusing way. This kit allows children to understand the basics of science, technology, math and engineering and the best thing about it is that involves simple experiments children can perform.

Dinosaur Dig Kit

Dinosaurs are among those things that fascinate children for ages and never go out of fashion. Developed by National Geographic, Dinosaur Dig Kit will hardly bore any child. It mixes adventure and learning, and I shouldn’t even mention how it boosts their curiosity. Your kid might fall in love with archaeology after getting their hands on this toy kit!

KidiBeats Kids Drum Set

Don’t worry, this toy isn’t as loud as you may imagine! On the other hand, if you imagine this simple drum set can boost your child’s interest in music and enhance their feeling of rhythm, you got it right! Additionally, the set is designed to help children learn letters and numbers.

Binoculars for kids

One might say binoculars are not really a toy, yet they can contribute to a better playing experience. The binoculars can be particularly interesting and useful when you are having a family picnic, when your child can use them to observe the nature more closely. I found a pair of kid-size binoculars which come with a 60-day money-back guarantee if they don’t meet your expectations.

Touch and Learn Activity Desk

Toddlers today love to learn interactively. As interactive tools have become a part of education as well, playing with interactive toys can be a good preparation for school. This desk comes with dozens of activities helping children to learn songs, letters and numbers, improve their vocabulary and draw different shapes. It is also designed to allow you to track your child’s progress.

Flash Cards Value Pack

Most of the children learn more easily if they learn with the help of visual materials. That’s why all sorts of flash cards come in handy. The pack I’ve found is made for the youngest children and learning letters, numbers, shapes and colors. Another plus of learning through flashcards from the earliest age is the fact that it helps kids practice their memory as well.

Magic Science

How many kids do you think would say magic is boring? None, if you ask me! By presenting science as fun as magic, which can easily be done with this kit, you can help your child understand science doesn’t have to be difficult or scary. You can both have fun with this kit, performing awesome experiments.

Don’t Break The Ice

The goal of this game is to keep the penguin at the top by balancing the ice blocks. It isn’t always easy but that’s the beauty of the game. The game enhances logical thinking and understanding of the basic laws of physics.

Operation Skill Game

This game has been around for decades and it is as popular as ever. It puts the children in the role of doctors/surgeons, teaching them the basics of human anatomy, as well as patience and being precise.

Jenga

Jenga is a toy grown-ups enjoy as much as kids, so it will probably make a great memory your children will gladly get back to in a few decades. It helps children build up their patience as well as strategical thinking. The rest is up to their luck!

As you can see, there is a number of ways to make learning an inseparable part of your child’s life from their earliest age. In fact, these simple forms of learning while playing will be a valuable habit that might help them in their later education as well.
