Hello! I’m Yasmina and I’m glad you’re here.
Parenting is a journey! One that is filled with ups and downs. Sometimes it’s hard. Sometimes it’s awesome. But it’s a journey, and its always changing.
Let me introduce myself. I’m Yasmina, a young, married mother of one little boy, in Switzerland. I’m a cheerful, carefree personality, with a background in education and finance.
In January 2008, my world turned upside down. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. This was a huge shock!
Since then, I have become much more down-to-earth. While I’ve had tremendous personal growth, it came at quite a cost. But I’m grateful for the lessons I’ve learned over the years.
In 2012, I married my best friend and confidant! My love story is one that will be shared later, and it’s one you won’t want to miss. My happiness all started with a dream…
Because of my MS, and the medications I take to treat it, I was told that if I wanted to become pregnant I would have to quit medicine for a while but my case was pretty serious at the time as I was getting many brain inflammations. But in 2014, we were blessed with our surprise! My son is now 4 and a half years old, and he is the most wonderful, smart.. stubborn little man. Of course, he is only 4.5 years old. Being a mother was another life-changing event.. in the best way possible! Motherhood has given me so much happiness.
Parenting is an adventure.
I’ve learned (slowly, lol!) that the biggest truth about motherhood is that everything is a phase. This doesn’t mean it’s easy, of course. It just means that no matter what happens, what stage we’re in, wonderful or difficult — it will pass. Know what I mean?
Parenting with a chronic disease is a challenge. Most days I’ve been totally worn out. And while I’m not able to maintain a full-time career any longer, I have thrived with my creative outlets. Blogging, sharing my journey and what I’ve learned has been incredibly fulfilling.
I hope that you’ll find tips and encouragement along your own parenting journey through this blog. My goal is to help you, while I help myself, be the best parents we can be!
